A VOYAGE TO ARCTURUS

David Lindsay's strange and magnetic masterwork A VOYAGE TO ARCTURUS finds startling new life in the hands of the great cartoonist Jim Woodring (FRANK, CONGRESS OF ANIMALS) who explores the baffling amalgam of mysticism, science fiction, sexual politics, and outrageous fantasy which stands as one of the greatest works of sustained, untrammeled literary imagination ever achieved. Woodring’s drawings capture the writhing currents of interacting forces that lie beneath the wonderfully arcane prose.

This edition restores the original David Lindsay text, which underwent extensive revisions and editorial interventions in 1961 and has only appeared in highly altered and abridged editions since. (Special thanks to Douglas A. Anderson for his hard work restoring Lindsay's original work.) Also features an extended introduction from the great author and comics creator Alan Moore, delving into the books prominent position in the strange history of British visionary fiction. 292 pages. 12" x 9".
